[Modules] Directive Config in mod_vhost_dbi?

Hi,

I've only recently found the mod_vhost_dbi. 
In the PDF I read something about every directive being configurable.
How do I do that? Can a small example be given?

I also noticed that DOCUMENT_ROOT isn't being set properly by PHP. cfr

Is there a solution for this at the moment? Many PHP scripts depend on
this variable.
