This line indicates that the issuer's DN differs from the DN of the 
client's certificate in size. I just tested the verification with client 
certificate and works for me. Check whether the certificates you are 
using match (use ethereal to see whether the client is sending the 
correct certificate and verify the ca.crt DN to actually match the 
client's issuer DN).
